Time Flies....

Been a long time since the last post....super busy with work and life.  Haven't had too much development in the Revit world, its been mainly take the fastest line from A to B.

Was able to check out Tekla Structural Designer, its pretty new, but is a design software built around a modeling user interface.  There are still some issues that I think are innate to revit and design software.  I would check this program first if I was looking for a finite element software.

Celebrating 10 years using Revit!  We started with Revit 09 and I got Revit 19 installed the other day. It has been one of the best things to happen in my career.  Hard to believe its been that long, but Time Flies.....

Model Deck Edges

So its been a while, I've been busy and that's how it goes....

Anyway, when you are detailling sections it can be tedious to insert deck edges and notation for every location.  If your model the deck edge it will appear in all sections and you can give it a keynote and be able to easily document it repeatedly.  Here is one way to do it.

A quick tip on section cut symbol visibility

This is a small thing, but its not a straightforward setting to change; or maybe Im just a dumbass and everybody else gets it and I don't.  Well, either way, I've have the problem occasionally where my section cut symbol doesn't show up on the plan.  Usually it's 2 things, either its on the wrong phase or it is set to be hidden at a certain scale.  This video addresses that problem.
